Swarovski Crystals Nail Art Designed to Impress

Beauty trends are always changing. Back in the 50s, it was all about red lips, tiny waists and silky curls. The 80s brought blue eyeshadow, hot pink blusher and perms, while the early 2000s were defined by poker straight, highlighted locks and velour leisurewear.

The fantastic thing about living in 2017 is that almost every style of beauty look is championed by the fashion mags. Nail art is just one trend that’s begun to be embraced widely. A decade ago, you’d associate hot pink, bejewelled talons with the Paris Hiltons of this world; now they’re popular with trendsetters of all kinds, in part because it’s becoming much easier to do your own nails at home.

Swarovski Crystal Pixie

If you’re new to home nail art, and you aren’t sure where to begin, start by checking out our Swarovski Crystal Pixie range. Designed specially for use on your nails, these pretty, easy-to-use crystals come in an assortment of colours and pack styles.

Crystal Pixie is a style of miniature crystal that is designed to be scattered over the nail like glitter – or hundreds and thousands on a cupcake! It comes in a special container with a funnel attachment, which means it’s easy to collect excess crystals after you’ve finished and pop them back in the bottle.

When using Crystal Pixie, you can either apply the crystals to a wet layer of normal nail varnish or a clear, adhesive nail gel. Press the crystals lightly into place and neaten the edges after application (it helps if you have some nail art tools for this) and then, when they’re set, seal the sides with some clear polish or gel.

Many Crystal Pixie sets also come with larger flatback crystals, which means you can mix up your design: cover a couple of nails in Crystal Pixie, and use the larger crystals to create a simpler, bolder design elsewhere.

For a more dramatic look, there’s Crystal Pixie Edge, which has been specially created so that the crystals are sharper-edged and more three-dimensional.

Swarovski Flatback Crystals

More experienced nail art enthusiasts might want to experiment with our Swarovski rhinestones. We stock a wide range of small flatback crystals, which are perfectly suited for nail art.

Our nail art crystals come in pack sizes starting at 50. They range in diameter from 1.4mm up to 11mm and are available in many different gorgeous colours – including Aquamarine, Blush Rose, Golden Shadow and Emerald.

You can also order mixed packs of our Swarovski rhinestones; these offer different sizes, shapes and colours, and are a great way of injecting some natural variety into your nail art design.

Swarovski flatbacks should be applied to a varnished nail, either using nail glue, gel polish or a thick, wet layer of topcoat. It can also be helpful to use a specially designed crystal pickup tool to move the flatbacks onto your nails, and a small dish for storing and catching excess crystals.
